Hours worked and payroll decimal hours
The calculator counts the minutes between your start and end times, adds 24 hours automatically when the shift crosses midnight, then subtracts your unpaid break. Payroll systems multiply decimal hours by your hourly rate, so 7 hours 45 minutes must be entered as 7.75 — not 7.45 — and this page always shows both formats.
